At the age of 24, with nothing but a used sewing machine from the Goodwill, Laura started Nelle Handbags. From 2003 to 2013, Laura worked with more than 60 retailers nationwide; retailer’s like Henri Bendel and Anthropologie. Her company appeared in everything from “O” The Oprah Magazine to InStyle to Time Out New York. Laura’s company won local and national industry awards like Mpls St. Paul Magazine’s Best of the Twin Cities, MN Monthly’s Best of Minnesota, and Henri Bendel’s New & Next. Some might consider this a decade well spent, but Laura thinks of it as only the beginning — she got bored with silk purses and wanted something different for her career.

See, Laura’s superpower is reimagining what something can be; A power she honed from 2014 - 2018 at Zeus Jones, a Minneapolis brand and business consultancy. Working there as a Creative Lead, Laura helped clients from General Mills, Nestle, Fridays, and 3M reimagine their brands and businesses for the modern world.

Today, as the Bartmann Group’s Creative Director, Laura helps us stay relevant in a rapidly changing world by leading the development of creative strategies that strengthen each one of our unique restaurant concepts. She’s using her mix of entrepreneurial, creative, editorial, and marketing experience to help us build amazing experiences for guests.
