There’s no place in Minneapolis better than Barbette to pay homage to the national French celebration. Since 2001 when the celebration moved from the downtown institution New French Cafe to Uptown, it’s been voila! as guests are transported to France for an afternoon of frites, drink and entertainment. A main stage hosts top performers such as Babes in ToylandHaley BonarLizzo, and Astronautalis, as street performers, mimes, stilt walkers, Nadine DuBois and Les Folies RisqueThe Brass MessengersMC Foxy Tann, and the Infiammati Fire Circus entertain the crowds. Bastille Day has been zero waste since 2008 thanks to our partnership with Eureka Recycling! Through careful planning and the participation of everyone attending, this event can generate no waste. By eliminating, reusing, recycling and composting all the discards generated here, we are greatly reducing our impact on the environment!

What started as an annual block party at Red Stag Supperclub has transformed into “In Cahoots”; a collaborative festival of craft brewing. The Northeast community goes nuts as a selection of top local craft breweries' brew masters form teams of two, collaborating to create a seasonal beer that’s exclusive to the event.

In partnership with FairVote Minnesota, a “best brew” ballot encourages guests to vote for their favorite beer using ranked choice voting. The winner receives a portion of the event’s proceeds to benefit their chosen local charity.

The celebration has an impressive lineup of live music and food. Generous sponsors make this event possible, ranging from media such as The Growler to local organizations such as Make it. MSP.

In Cahoots is scheming to add more cities to expand this event across the nation.
