Located in the heart of Minneapolis’ Uptown neighborhood, Barbette was named “Best French Restaurant, populist vote” by Mpls St. Paul Magazine. The restaurant serves French brasserie food: early in the morning until late at night. Ingredients are locally and sustainably farmed, and seafood follows the Monterey Bay Seafood Watch guidelines. Tasting menus are available, along with an extensive list of Champagne, wine, beer, and craft cocktails.

The Book Club is a California-inspired eatery brings delicious fare to the Armatage neighborhood of Minneapolis with items such as wood-fire grilled Chermoula chicken, red coconut seafood curry, and a vegan burrito. But don’t worry, we’ve got burgers, fries, and a Niman Ranch grilled ribeye, too.

The Tiny Diner was created using a “whole-system design” framework. The restaurant showcases biointensive urban farming methods and efficient water use strategies through its edible gardens and rainwater catchments systems. With a solar paneled patio roof, the Diner offsets a good portion of its energy usage.. There are also rooftop honey bees and annual crops to foster pollinator habitat and soil fertility. Oh, and GOOD FOOD and BEER and WINE and COCKTAILS. Specials are inspired by different American cities and their hometown diners.

Bread & Pickle

Next to the Lake Harriet Bandshell, Bread & Pickle is an outdoor concession stand that serves grass-fed burgers, beer, wine, sandwiches, popcorn and ice cream, after a nice lakeside morning with an egg sandwich and an espresso. Proud to be a part of Minneapolis Parks, it’s synonymous with free sunrise yoga mornings and summer nights filled with music at the bandshell. Lake Harriet is in Linden Hills neighborhood, and is enjoyed by runners, walkers, sailors, paddlers, dogs, kids, and visitors from roughly April-September.
